Question....

I am thinking of posting some of my other deals from the drugstores, Target, etc. Would any of you be interested in seeing them posted here? Would you rather I start a new blog with a different title or is it easier if I post my other deals here? This blog is called, "I love Publix" so part of me already wants to start a new blog and call it something else as it seems weird to post non-Publix deals on a website that is so specifically geared towards one store.

Weigh in if you would in the comments section.

I have a Target deal that I did tonight and I may post it here until I can start another blog. There were some good deals there tonight.

Sold our house....

It's official.
We are moving!

With our move comes the close of this blog as I will no longer have a Publix near me. I am going to keep the blog open for another week in case you want to post something here and then I am going to close down the blog.

Thank you again to everyone that made this blog so fun. It's hard to imagine life without a Publix but I will just have to work a little bit harder to find ways to save money on my grocery bill.

In the meantime, have fun hitting the wonderful sales at Publix. I will think of you guys while I'm struggling in the land of no doubles. :) LOL.

To my CBC friends.........let us not forget to be grateful for the things that God has given to us because of His great mercy.

Camera is LOST

No posts until I get a new camera. Maybe sometime in the next few weeks. There are some great deals this week @ Publix so don't let my lameness stop you from getting motivated to organize your shop!

I actually did shops the last two weeks but couldn't take a picture of them for you. :(

Publix Shop 4/23/10

Jason and I decided to do two separate shops tonight. I had a huge shop planned and wanted to use two $5/50 Q's so he tagged along.

What a fun shop. We ran into Christian R. and Lori B. from CBC. I love that I can hang with my husband AND see my friends in the same night. What a joy.

Jason and I had taken most of the Schick so I gave Lori a $5 RR to make up for it as I was certain that she was looking for the same moneymakers as I was. I hope you were able to checkout without any issues tonight Lori. Please post here to let me know how your shop went; I would love to hear about it. I had two great cashiers tonight (Scott and Jessica). I shopped at Moore's Lane.

OK, here's the shop (click on the picture for more details):

NOTE
:
I just noticed the Aleve travel packs tonight and realized that they provided $.91 overage with the $2/1 Publix Green Advantage Q. I wish I would have seen that deal earlier (green advantage q's expire today 4/23/10). We missed out on some good overage. :)

NOTE:
Lisa, I finally threw in my raincheck for the chicken nuggets and managed to get them for free because they were on sale and the B1G1 price rang up on the sale price so they were only $2 a bag before coupons and FREE after coupons. I set aside 4 bags for you.

NOTE:
I printed a Newman's own Q about 3 weeks ago and wanted to find a product that I could use it on. I had Jason search the store for the cheapest Newman's own product and the raisins were the lowest priced item that he found (it you find something cheaper than this please leave a comment). Savannah loves raisins so these are her special treat.

NOTE:
I had $72.81 in overage with my moneymakers and RR's (which is kind of ridiculous).

NOTE: I was almost out of popcorn so I am so glad that it is on sale this week. Mandi, they still carry the black pepper and buttery salt version (although I think they renamed it). I will be picking up more of the popcorn later this week as I love that flavor thanks to you!

Heading out of town but wanted to let you know that I found Snuggle on in-store special at Royal Oaks (not sure if it is on sale at the other Publix stores). It was $2.87 (so moneymaker with the Snuggle Q from the recent insert).

We did one more shop this week because I realized that the Ben & Jerry's was not going to be on sale next week (Advantage Q expires tomorrow). I purchased a few $1/1 Ben & Jerry's manufacturer Q's off of EBAY about 3 weeks ago and they were burning a whole in my pocket. My babysitter loves Ben & Jerry's. :) Have a great weekend!

TOTAL: $308.90
TOTAL AFTER COUPONS: $18.80
SAVINGS: 94%

NOTE: Was given $20 to purchase the Talenti so we actually paid $0 out of pocket.

NOTE: I am exhausted from the great deals at Publix, Kroger and Harris Teeter over the last two weeks. I think Jason and I have gone to the store at least 15 times. We filled up our stockpile though and we have plenty to sell at our garage sale in a few weeks. I spent about $8 at Publix (after rebates) and received $908 worth of groceries. Many of these items will last us for the entire year (especially the Snuggle).
