You're going to feel like jumping for joy when you read this....
My husband did 5 shops today and he called me to tell me that he believes that Publix has increased the $50 manufacturer coupon threshold on their POS system in the Nashville area (he tested out Antioch, Maryland Farms, Nipper's Corner, and Concord). He had noticed recently that he didn't need a manager to approve his last few coupons that put him over the $50 limit. He decided to run a test tonight by going to several different stores to see if his results were the same.
What does this mean to you?
Well, if his theory rings true then it means that you no longer need a manager to approve your manufacturer coupons if they are over $50. I'm not sure what the new threshold limitation is, however, he had at least $70 in manufacturer coupons today at each store and no manager approval was needed.
This would be INCREDIBLE news to many of us. We wouldn't have to break up our transactions or dread the manager having to come over to input our last few coupons anymore.
The limitation on items vs. coupons would still be in effect so make sure you have the same amount of items/coupons in your transaction.
Can I hear a shout out from all of you on the eve of this incredible event.

I just went to the Publix on Concord Rd. and had $66 worth of mfg. coupons and needed no manager, last Sunday I did. Yeah!!
YEAH! Thats awesome I would love to not have to do as many transactions.
Oh, wouldn't this be awesome! Thanks for the info. Hope its the same in Fla!
He told me to today at church how MANY pork deals he has done since you've been on vacation. Be afraid. Be very afraid. You will not be able to park your car in the garage any more. I will have to get you my fruited pork chop slow cooker recipe. You won't mind having all that pork when you make it like that!
I noticed the same thing at the Franklin Publix (near Fieldstone Farms) last week. I'm sure I had at least $60 in coupons and there was no disruption in my transaction.
Just went to go print off some more pork coupons and it doesn't work anymore. Do you have any info on why it isn't printing anymore?? I need some, especially this week....
Heads up, TN couponers: There's a $5 off $50 on the GFS flyer in the Sunday paper! Great compet. Q to use at Publix!
And if you missed getting the Sunday paper (and didn't find any in the recycling bins :), Kroger sells them for half price until they sell out. I've often seen them out as late as Wednesday.
I am in panic mode! I had the $6 pork coupon saved on my laptop and I had to reformat! If you have a copy could you please send it to lissahurleymiller at gmail dot com? Publix is running a $7.99 sale on their charcoal starting Wednesday and I only have 1 of the $6 coupons...I need 9 more to complete the transactions ($4/1 Charcoal, free KC BBQ, free PAM, $2 in meat etc). I am planning on tons of overage if I can just get my hands on that $6 coupon!
Thanks in advance if you have the pdf!

I always stay under $50.00 because I HATE having the manager come over, they aren't very coupon friendly at my Publix.
On a side note, I think it is ironic that you are coming back to blogging your Publix trips when charcoal goes on SALE AGAIN! LOL
Still out of town. Link to pork coupon is at iheartpublix.com. Will be back in town this afternoon.
Kimberly, I laughed when I saw that the charcoal was on sale again! LOL. I just can't get away from that deal.
BTW, please report back here if you were able to use more than $50 in man. Q's without manager approval (especially the other regions). Thanks!

bec, they are updating the "fire up the grill" website and will probably have the same coupon or a lesser value coupon when it comes back up.

Jenny, thanks for the heads up on the GFS coupon. You rock.
I just came back from a new Publix store on the Southside of Atlanta, GA, and used $170 in MQ's. I didn't have any problem! Yay!!!!
I just came back from Publix at Nipper's corner and had $212 in coupons. I think the new threshold might be $200 but am not positive.
